Sleep is a commodity and something I have found hard to get as a single mom with 3 little monsters. The sleep I manage to get has to be great sleep. Every second of slumber counts! Why? Because someone is constantly waking me up. I don’t know about you but I turn into a crazy woman with a migraine if I don’t get enough sleep at night. I also get a no-sleep hangover (without ever drinking a drop of alcohol) if I don’t get at least 5 hours of sleep.
Hence the reason I created this challenge. The challenge is for you, as the adult/parent, AND your little monsters.
My oldest monster is on the autism spectrum and has ADHD. He has a tough time slowing his mind down at night due to autism, ADHD, and the medicine he takes to manage the symptoms of both. The steps I will be sharing during the challenge work for him. They also work for my middle monster when she has nightmares. I use the steps repeatedly throughout the night if/when one of my monsters wakes me up or if I am having trouble sleeping due to stress, being over tired, or physical discomfort/pain.
